January, 2018 marked yet another significant milestone for SPRO with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Philippine National Strategic Procurement And Advisory under Philippines Economic Zone Authority to participate in SPRO’s  business expansion plan across Philippines’s strategic location & markets to provide multi discipline cold storage facilities and other associated essential support solutions to the fishery, meat and other high-impact agro-based industries that includes equipping fishing ports with fresh or deep-chill capability, providing know-how to develop the ports to attain “Competent Food Source” hub and “Halal” accredited status besides helping to manage the whole supply chain from upstream to consumers in the most efficient, quality-assured and cost-effective manner possible.

This high level MOU signing event was endorsed & mandated by Director General of Philippines Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) under the presidential office and PEZA Special Advisor/Envoy to China & Malaysia.

The investment is expected to improve the livelihood of fishermen, create jobs, and drive economic growth in the region.
